Hello. I’m Bochao.

I'm an industrial designer currently based in Shenzhen, China.

During my university years, I initially studied Commerce. However, I soon realized that my true passion was design, leading me to restart my academic journey at the School of Industrial Design at Carleton University. Here, I developed a strong understanding of human-centred design thinking and aesthetics.

My experience spans both corporations and design agencies. This equipped me to collaborate across functions and honed my skills in negotiating with clients and presenting designs. I have independently led various consumer electronics projects launched recently, including soundbars, smart home devices, and headphones.

I believe design is more than just creativity. It's about understanding users' genuine needs and translating them into practical and appropriate solutions to enhance their experiences.
